The purpose of the Neighborhood Commercial (C-1) District is to establish areas for uses that provide goods and services to the local neighborhood.  Neighborhood Commercial uses are those retail and service establishments that primarily serve local market areas and can be located in close proximity to residential districts without creating undue vehicular congestion, excessive noise, or other influences that are objectionable to the welfare of the neighborhood.

The following uses are permitted in the Neighborhood Commercial (C-1) District:

Bank and Financial Center

Day Care Facility

Medical/Dental Office

Personal Service

Photo, Dance, Music Studio

Pond

Professional Office

Retail

Restaurant [without drive-thru or delivery service]

 

Special Uses

The following uses may be approved as a special use:

 

Assisted Living Facility

Caterer

Church or place of worship

Club

Dwelling, Accessory

Funeral Home

Gasoline Sales

Lake Development

*Single, Two, or Multiple-Family Dwelling Units [above the ground floor level]

Veterinary Office/Clinic
